Photographer: Bettina Dupont
I create poetic and colorful stagings carried by dark themes like loneliness, madness, depression or even death. Each image suggests a story.
I do not like limiting photography to a simple shot. I see my pictures like a painting I compose not with painting but with different photographs. I can thus divert objects, change the colors, create scenery and characters sometimes very strange. I use symbolism by selecting objects and colors with thoroughness to get the right message.
I started photographing it has a decade, of a reserved nature, I needed a support to express myself. The photograph was above all a leisure that it is quickly transformed into passion. In 2013, I acquired my first REFLEX with which I learned a lot. For years, I published my creations on social networks and that's how I found what I really liked in this art, telling stories that arouse emotion to the viewer. During all these years, I have never stopped creating and improving me and it's in 2020 that I become a photographer author.
Completely self-taught, I like the idea that one keeps learning in the art world, whether new perspectives or new techniques.
