I love Photography. In the past I photographed with an analogue camera, but I didn’t really master it and at that time of my life I was busy with many other things.
The digital world however, has changed everything for me and I have been bitten by the photography bug. Also, as a nature lover, I appreciate being outside and I find nature in all of its seasons fascinating. I love discovering new places and finding new perspectives and appreciate the opportunity to share my photos with others. The opportunity of photographing wildlife in its natural habitat is very meaningful to me for it is both a privilege and an unforgettable experience. Often when I am in the field I put my camera down and simply enjoy the moment; observing the beauty of the landscape and the symbiotic relationship that the animals have to the land.
The more time I spend in nature on my photographic journeys whether near or far, the more I become aware of the fragility of our planet’s ecosystem. We are at a critical juncture on this planet whereby human behavior is responsible for the extinction of many species and many more are immanently under threat.
It is my intention through the use of photography to bring awareness to these environmental issues in the hopes that seeds are planted, discussions take place and activism grows. I want to share my vision as I capture it through the lens of my camera and to show the beauty and importance of nature in our life and for our planet.
