I am Johana Guerra a freelance portraits and life style photographer. Photography came at a time when I needed the most- it was an escape from an everyday job- pediatric palliative care social worker in NYC. I craved for positive creatively in a world where I could have very little control to bring happiness and peace. Photography gave me a new sense of hope and it makes me feel alive and feeds my soul to be a better human being.

Fascinated with creating a narrative with light, composition, and texture.

I hope to bring to life something special... I’ve always wanted my work as a people photographer to serve a greater good, that is, to fulfill the need we all have as humans for meaning and inspiration in our lives. And because so much of the meaning in our lives comes from our relationships, I’ve focused my abilities almost exclusively on creating artistic photography that highlights and reaffirms the meaning we derive from our most treasured relationships.
