Photographer: Tracy Munson
Tracy Munson is an award-winning Canadian photographer, specializing in pets, landscapes, and wildlife.
While living in Toronto, Tracy took every opportunity to escape the city and her rewarding but stressful job in one of the country's largest Animal Shelters. For many years, she travelled around Canada in a tiny car, with a large man, a tent, and two chihuahuas. After seeing it all, Atlantic Canada kept drawing her back and in 2018 she escaped city life for good, relocating to beautiful Albert County, NB to focus on photography full time.
Since then, Tracy has won the title of Photographic Artist of the Year in the Professional Photographers of Canada Atlantic Region image competition 3 years in a row - 2018, 2019, & 2020! During those years, she has also taken home several best in class trophies and judge's choice awards in the Animals, Fine Art, and Pictorial/Floral categories. At the national level, Tracy was the recipient of a Best in Class trophy for Pictorial/Floral in 2017 and was a finalist for Photographic Artist of the Year in 2020 and 2021. In 2021, she also achieved her Master of Photographic Arts (MPA) designation with the PPOC.
