Johannes Bosgra’s main inspiration is contemporary classical music. In his series Murmurations he’s creating images of starling murmurations that form abstract landscapes in the sky in a sublime musical rhythm. Music is the art with the highest abstraction and able to convey emotions in the most direct way. He captured this perfect choreography of a starling ballet in an abstract form to try to convey the deep emotions that classical music evokes in him. In collaboration with composers and musicians such as Philip Glass and Ralph van Raat he creates gesamtkunstwerke of visual art and classical music. Johannes Bosgra is selected as FRESH EYES European Photography Talent 2020 and GUP New Dutch Photography Talent 2020.
