Mariela is a multimedia journalist. She begun a career in photography in New York City in 2002.
Besides her work on portraits and special events, she has perfected the art of newborn photography.
A 5 time Emmy Award’ nominee, she also worked as reporter, producer and anchor for Consumer Reports, Telemundo, News 12, The Daily News, The Jersey Journal, The Huffington Post, and while working for the Associated Press, her photos have been published all over the world.
She has also traveled the world capturing architecture, landscape and the wonders of nature. She has a fascination with wildlife, nature and a special love for macrophotography.
In 2002 she learnt darkroom techniques and started developing her own black and white prints.
